I received an e-mail with comments like, "We use to laugh about it, but now it's here." in reference to Margaret Thatcher's comment, "The problem with Socialism is that eventually you run out of someone else's money." I wrote back and told them that the same can be said about capitalism.

And, they're sending the Wizard of Id cartoon which is mocking Obama's efforts to provide some kind of safety net in these coming hard times (Free food stamps, free health care) and the punch line is, basically, what do we need jobs for if we're getting it all free? I had no idea the Wizard of Id was a right-winger.

Oh, and it's not the banks and lender's fault that so many people with bad credit got loans. They think individuals must take responsibility for the failed economy -- alone.

Repubs really don't have much repertoire, do they?

of someone else's money funding the Iraq war. Let them explain that and then get back to me.

4. The Fools Don't Realize It Was Funny Money To Begin With

All those smart "Santellis" out there who had their money invested and thought they were making millions while doing nothing...and they still haven't figured out they've been taken. Instead of going after the real crooks who are walking away with billions, they're diverted, blaming those who are in the same boat they are. Fools.

I'd gladly let the wingnuts opt out of society...which is what socialism is. By all means, they can stop using my socialist police department or garbage collection or socialist greens keepers at the county-owned golf club. Yep...they feel entitled...the rest of us owe them...and I'm all in favor of them getting as little as they truly deserve.

The GOOP has turned into a total farce. Let them continue to go against a majority of the electorate...works for me.

6. Wizard of Id is done by Johnny Hart

Same guy who does B.C. A notorious winger, although I remember a B.C. cartoon about unequal wages back in the 1970s.

7. Johnny Hart died in 2007.

And yes, he was a fundie Christian and a winger, but he's obviously not the one responsible for the Obama-bashing cartoons of today. His strips are now being done by grandchildren. You'll have to blame one of them for this latest.

To say something positive about him, at least he lived his Christian faith in terms of giving to others.
