Freepers weigh in on the Big Gay Oscars |
|
I get this morbid rush from peeking into FR, in a "gawking-at-a-train-wreck" kind of way.:freak: Can’t the gays just stick to the Tony Awards?

To: L.A.Justice Can the brilliant Mr. Penn enumerate for us the rights that homosexuals don’t have?
If anything, they are beneficiaries of “affirmative action”, a form of reverse prejudice that gives them unfair advantage over those who are not queer.

To: L.A.Justice Anyone notice how a great movie (Grand Torino) doesn’t even get a nomination for anything? Oh yeah, it had a conservative bent to it so, no soup for you!!

To: L.A.Justice I disagree that the show was ok.
They had a comedy sketch that was disgusting, joking about Nazis having sex with little boys, they showed simulated sex and nudity and two grown men passionately kissing.
Then when they did the tribute to stars who have died in the past year the applause completely died out when they showed Charlton Heston on the screen. It resumed when they showed liberal stars who had died.
The dance and music parts of the show were a disgrace, multi cultural crapola.
Sean Penn did his usual kissing up politically but the man is so brain damaged that he had to take a piece of paper out of his pocket to read the names of people to thank.
Pathetic excuse for a human being, much less actor. He’s not worthy of being a pimple on Charlton Heston’s rear end.
I have been watching the Oscars since 1969 and this was the absolute WORST show I’ve ever seen. No exaggeration.

To: L.A.Justice it's a demonstration of such emotional cowardice to be so afraid to be extending the same rights to a fellow man as you would want for yourself," I didn't watch, I never do, simply because watching a bunch of narcissists patting each other on the back is something I find nauseating. But, I have to say, gay folks have the same exact marriage rights as I do. They can marry someone of the opposite sex if they'd like. I can't marry my dog, or another woman, or whatever. So, it's not like I have a right they don't.

They never will be, but that’s the “right” that they want, IMPOSED/FORCED on everyone.

So I guess a show with two liberal elite brothers is more palatable than a whole theater filled with them.

of the TV show lists the character of Frasier Crane as a Democrat. I know Grammer is a Repuke, and I really hate that; but what can you do?

39. The worlds smallest book |
|
Freepers that I have met at the opera.
The comedy of Fraiser's character is built on elitism that's why he stood out in Cheers, his trying to fit in with the everyman and not quite exactly getting it. It's also why when the character got his spinoff they needed his father and the eyesore recliner to throw a wrench in his perfect well designed apartment and his arts supporting life or quite frankly the show would not have worked.
Freepers aren't all that bright, they need to get the memo to understand what they are watching, and that was my point.

Does this sound suspiciously like when the morals police come out in force and announce that this or that magazine is a travesty, and they can prove it because they read every single page....twice!!!
Or that they're against pot because they've smoked it for 20 years and it's OK for them, but they don't want their kids doing it...
Or...they've been married and divorced more times than Elizabeth Taylor, but letting gays have the right to marry will DESTROY the morals and values of the American family....
OMG.... they just don't realize how fucking insane they sound!

that way, they'd be spared the leftist/commie/gay/perverted/whatever menace that happens to be frightening them at the moment. And- FWIW, Charlton Heston wasn't that great; he bulldozed through every role with the exact same voice and expressions- no range (just like John Wayne).

Railing against Hollywood and feigning disdain for celebrities is part of the standard issue GOP mouthcrap. And yet....... If you go back check the party affiliation of entertainers who have been elected to office, you'll see they are disproportionately Republican. Yep, those GOPhers put show folk into office every chance they get. I'm guessing any actor who's been in more than two movies can be elected to office if he's willing to put an (R) after his name. All this "Hollywood elite" crap is really just about their own feelings of inferiority and unrequited fandom.

The non-stop orgy is in their heads. Its no surprise that so many of them are closeted pervs. They sit around obsessing about "sex and nudity and two grown men passionately kissing."

"I refuse to watch the Oscars. Hollywood is a disgusting, pathetic, morally bankrupt group of people."
Wow ... this from the folks who supported an administration that blatantly lied to the American people to get us into an immoral war ... an administration who climbed on top of a stack of the bodies of more than 3,000 dead Americans (from 9/11) and shouted that Iraq was connected to the 9/11 attacks (when they knew it was a lie) ... and then made up a fairy tale about WMD (again, knowing it was a lie) ... ALL JUST SO WE WOULD GO INTO A WAR THAT WOULD ALLOW BUSH ET AL TO REPAY THE MILITARY CONTRACTORS WHO PUT HIM IN OFFICE (oh, and also a little bit so we could steal their oil). Thousands of dead and maimed Americans; thousands of dead and maimed Iraqi civilians ... all to line the pockets of the Military-Industrial Complex.
And the Freepers loved them.
Talk about a bunch of disgusting, pathetic and morally bankrupt group of people ... Freepers, looking in the f*cking mirror, why don't you!!!???!!!
