Attempted humor sent from a RW acquaintance

Criminy, I'm sitting here coddling my bum ankle with ice packs, swilling diet Pepsi and swallowing Tylenol, so I'm blaming all that for any errors contained in my response:

... back in 1990 Bush Daddy was in office, very busily trying to cover up the misdeeds of his son, Neal, who had been busted in the savings and loan scandal; said scandal had taken place during Bush Daddy's v-pness under St. Ronald, and had also snared five senators, John McCain among them.

McCain, still a senator and recent national loser and presently the poutrage leader among the GOP, was really good buddies with one Charles Keating who had asked congress to set aside certain regulations in order for him to promote a scheme that he promised would enhance the retirement years of millions of senior citizens. The other senators sensed something amiss and required that Keating be checked out before they let him do anything; so they hired an obscure accounting consultant from the Midwest, who checked him out and found him to be just the greatest thing since sliced bread. Billions of vanished dollars and millions of financially screwed senior citizens later, McCain claimed that all those Keating-funded exotic trips and "campaign contributions" from the same Mr. Keating had had no bearing on his support of the scheme.

Neal Bush got his hand slapped for being naughty at Silverado Savings and Loan in Denver and was told to never, ever work in banking again (poor baby - he then had to support himself by illegally selling proprietary computer systems to the Chinese because Daddy could bail him out for that, too; and, gee, he had all that alimony and child support to pay his snippy ex-wife who prissily failed to appreciate the STD he gave her as an anniversary present, so then he had to go support himself by selling crap rightwing textbooks under provisions of No Child Left Behind engineered by his idiot brother, George the Stupider).

Meanwhile, Neal's other brother, Marvin, was trying to become even more invisible while attempting to remove his fingerprints from his nameplate as a board member of the security firm that was charged with providing security for the World Trade Center; and he had to do all this while the remaining brother, Jeb, tried to distance himself from both Katharine Harris and the real estate developers he got caught cozying up to in a deal with railroads and trucking industry insiders in Florida.

Oh yeah, whatever happened to that accounting consultant who had okayed Charles Keating? Mr. Greenspan recently retired as chairman of the Federal Reserve Board. Not that I'm suggesting that any of these folks are in any way connected to our present economic distress. Could be entirely coincidental, right?

Anyway, I'm thinking that since THEY are the bunch who couldn't make Mustang Ranch a success it's a good thing that they AREN'T the ones in charge right now. And somebody really needs to tell John McCain to stop trying to tell us that his plan was better, seeing as how it's the same plan that got us here. In a word, sheeesh.

The government did seize it but they didn't operate it...they sold it to a dummy corporation that turned out to be owned by the original\
owner! He went to Brazil or Argentina, somewhere down there and I don't think has been seen since. The place closed down a little later.

P.P.S. (by someone else) - To all you right-wingers who cannot believe a word of this, I have this to say. Pick one. Pick one of the points made and spend a glory filled hour in research proving it wrong. Set a timer so you won't lose a second from another repeat of Gary Condit's real guilt on FOX news. Google it, and read. Pick your favorite search engine if you must. But, who am I kidding, you won't. Not one of you. If any of this were true, that left-wing press would have been all over it like stink on a homeless guy. And, you'll go right on your rightful way of right-wing beliefs, all the way down to the broken retirement you you so dutifully put away, believing that your losses must be the result of those liberals who did not make their loan payments that magically left all those already rich people indescribably richer.
