are interested in nothing but power, just keep reading those comments by Jim Bunning.
Fuck that apology.
"I apologize if my comments offended Justice Ginsburg," said Bunning, R-Ky. "That certainly was not my intent. It is great to see her back at the Supreme Court today and I hope she recovers quickly. My thoughts and prayers are with her and her family."
FUCK YOU YOU FUCKING HEARTLESS PIECE OF SHIT JIM BUNNING!

What the fuck was his intent other than grabbing power?
That was among the nastiest comments ever made by a so called Senator although when Democratic Senator Tim Johnson had a stroke, Rethugs were busy selecting a replacement.

I hope Jim Bunning dies in agony long before Ruth Ginsburg.

He needs to be destroyed publicly for these comments.

add.

4. Here
http://blogs.usatoday.com/ondeadline/2009/02/senator-predict.html
<snip>
Sen. Jim Bunning, of Kentucky, predicted this weekend that Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg could be dead from pancreatic cancer within nine months, Louisville's The Courier-Journal reports.

The newspaper says the Republican senator, speaking to the Hardin County Republican Party's Lincoln Day dinner, expressed support for conservative judges "and that's going to be in place very shortly because Ruth Bader Ginsburg ... has cancer."

"Bad cancer. The kind that you don't get better from," he said.

"Even though she was operated on, usually, nine months is the longest that anybody would live after (being diagnosed) with pancreatic cancer," Bunning said, according to the newspaper.

6. He'd better apologize
Can you imagine the abject humiliation of having Ruth Bader Ginsburg kick your ass?

But now that he's offered his standard-issue Republican non-apology apology, Justice Ginsburg will let him off the hook. Proving once again that she's a far finer person than I could ever hope to be.

From NBC's Ken Strickland and Mark Murray
In a written statement today, Kentucky GOP Sen. Jim Bunning apologized for remarks he made about Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, in which he predicted that she would pass away in nine months.

"I apologize if my comments offended Justice Ginsberg," Bunning said. "That certainly was not my intent. It is great to see her back at the Supreme Court today and I hope she recovers quickly. My thoughts and prayers are with her and her family."

So what the fuck was his intent? He's a heartless scumbag and a liar.

Note: Bunning's office misspelled Ginsburg's last name.

12. Ted Williams never had much use for Bunning.
At least according to this guy:

http://www.mikemahler.com/articles/reape.html

...As Jim Bouton recounts in "Ball Four," when Ted Williams took batting practice, he would yell out, "My name is Ted f***ng Williams and I'm the greatest hitter in baseball." - Bill Simmons

...According to Jim Bouton's "Ball Four," Ted Williams used to work himself into a frenzy during batting practice, shouting things like "here comes Jim Bunning, Jim F***ing Bunning and that little sh** slider of his ... does he seriously think he can get me out with that sh**?" in between swings...

Someone explain to me why Bunning's in the HOF with these numbers:

Win-Loss record 224-184
Earned run average 3.27
Strikeouts 2,855

but Bert Blyleven, with numbers that are the same (or better) is not:

Win-Loss record 287-250
Earned run average 3.31
Strikeouts 3,701

16. How many games did he win in September that year?
Bunning's official perfect game was in June, 1964, for the Phillies.

He beat the Mets, in a year when the Mets finished with a 53 and 109 record. In their first year at Shea Stadium, the novelty of the perfect game had the Mets' home crowd cheering the opposition Phillies, with every pitch.

That was the year that the Phillies totally melted down.

They had a 6 and a half game lead, with only a dozen games left to play but St. Louis ended up in the series that year (and won it.)
