Fighting For YOUR Home?
Edited on Mon Feb-23-09 04:12 PM by lame54
Tell your story to Robert Greenwald

http://fightingforourhomes.com/

"Eight million people are at risk of losing their homes because Wall Street abandoned responsible lending practices to gain short-term profits. The housing crisis is not just a problem for families facing foreclosure - it's a problem for every homeowner in America. As long as foreclosures persist, home values will keep going down, and everyone loses.

We need your help. Have you been affected by the housing meltdown? Foreclosed on? Underwater? Record your story, or the story of a friend, family member, or neighbor, and send it to us. You can also add your written story along with a photo for the map. Then, watch the video stories of the families, mothers, fathers, and children who have lost, or are losing the place they call home."

Disability and outsourcing, from being "DINKs" to "NINKs" in less than 2 weeks.

A hearty FUCK YOU!! goes out to those tax-cut whining, global "free market" corporate capitalist apologists, wherever you are!!

All gone in <2 years no home (foreclosed), no vehicles(repoed), no savings (retirement gone), no insurance (medical/dental ect..) no (bad) credit.

From a near 6 figure income to low 5 figure income, but at least we can manage to squeak by on my monthly disability checks from SS and my ex-employer, and my wife's PT (12 hrs/wk) minimum wage job.

For now...

I sympathize with those who have or will go through what we have already, esp those who will only receive unemployment compensation, and face the ever-dimming prospects for ANY type of employment.

2. a hearty hug to you Urban Prairie
:pals: You sound like us!..we've been working with a non-profit to try to save our house. So much is gone. We just had our first contact from the lender itself, the day after Obama signed the stimulus (they were supposed to contact us 9 months earlier..haha). I HATE this bs M$$M meme about blaming poor people and their "poor decisions."

How about NAFTA and CAFTA as the lousiest of decisions? Who wanted those?
