Update on lost high school transcripts...
Edited on Mon Feb-23-09 05:37 PM by cynatnite
Some of you may recall that my sister's high school stated they had no record of her attending school. She was going through her old things in hopes of somehow reconstructing her education.

I found a state law that basically says the schools have to keep duplicates of all records in a separate building with a fireproof place to protect the records. I also gave her the contact info for the state reps who run the education committee as well.

So she calls the school and reads the law to them. She also told them she was calling the state reps. They promise to supply a letter to her college. A few hours ago they called her and said they have found some portions of her permanent record. They now think they will find most everything.

It seems that digging up the law and a threat to pull in the committee put a fire under their seats.

3. high school person: "great, now I gotta get up and walk WAY over there"
I love how the first answer you always get is "NO" and you have to threaten to get the correct response

4. She's been told there was nothing she could do for the past week...
I'm glad we refused to accept that.

6. Thats what we all should do,
in clearly wrong situations. Be calm, diplomatic, and search.

Congratulations!

5. It would of been easier hiring G. Gordon Liddy
He would of done it for free, for his country.
