Such a sad story and I just posted a bit of it. But...at least there is some good news. He may have lost his left eye in the explosion, but was not totally blinded.

For some reason, this story really touched me...and when I read that he could see, I started to cry and wanted to share this with my fellow DUers.

3. So far, it looks like there is absolutely no clue on...

...who or why. I have not read one article that said anything bad about Dr. Pierce and no one can figure why he was harmed. The best "guess" so far is that it might have to do with his seat on the medical board ~~ they can take away the license of other MDs.

4. The press says the cops are reviewing all contacts in his life

Hopefully one of those will reveal who did this. Let's just hope it is not another semi-random wacko like the Unibomber. I'd hate for this kind of event to happen for the next 20 years.
