What does an economic tsunami mean to a surfing CEO?
To me it means that Microsoft has their head up their ass and locked with this pathetic ad whose ultimate message seems to be "technology is good". Because without technology the sophomoric surfing CEO (and his equally brain-dead interviewer) couldn't do anything.

Kind of like air is good. Food is good. Technology is good.

I think I just heard that Microsoft was one of the few stocks to end down today. If this is the best they can do to tout their brand, no wonder.

featuring the founder & CEO of Quiksliver when the company is in big financial doo-doo.

(Yes, I know they finally sold off Rossignol, but they're still hurting).

3. I've Never Even Watched That Commercial Long Enough To See Who It Was For
As soon as it comes on, flip! I didn't even know it was for MS. Wow, that's really bad advertising there.

4. Water is good.
Too much, too fast in the form of a tsunami -- not so good.

Think about it, Microsoft!

6. My hat is off to you. At least you could see what has been obvious.
My broker bought MSFT last week for me.

7. i HATE that ad
It reminds me of the 2004 Boxing Day tsunami that killed so many people in Southeast Asia and India. Nothing cool about a tsunami.
