Stock markets will NEVER come back until a regulatory acknowledgment that publicly held companies |
|
do not exist for the sole purpose of lining the pockets of the executives to the detriment of the stockholders and the employees.
I know many people who are out for good because a few at the top benefited and EVERYONE ELSE suffered. I have always considered it a criminal conversion of company assets and capital that could NEVER be justified in a fiduciary sense.

1. I Agree With You That Executives Paid Themselves Way Too Much |
|
but if changing that were a prerequisite for the stock market coming back, I doubt it would have gone through two bubbles already with executive pay already at current levels.

i had a conversation yesterday with a guy in his late 20`s who just started working for edward jones. he`s pissed because the people are afraid to invest money and he wants all the crooks exposed now. we agreed that the worse guys on television are the ones who are selling books. he seemed to have a good outlook with obama running the show. maybe the new generation of guys are going to learn from this disaster.
by the way,he was going door to door looking for customers in some really crappy weather!

3. I don't think they're afraid to invest, I just think they're pissed off period |

It was always ok for the big boys to get the largest piece, but they were never supposed to get the whole pie while destroying the oven and burning down the building.

4. I disagree. I don't think think regulations and stock prices are related. |
|
One year ago when the market was 5,000 points above where it is now there was still massive deregulation and corruption. Ever since we elected someone who talks about regulation the market is in the gutter.
Stocks will come back when people have more money in their pockets to buy them with.
