The thing is, they don't dislike taxes. They just call it a subscriber fee, or a toll on a private roadway, or a "value added" fee ... or the company store.
Ya know, pretty much anything that anyone who doesn't pull in six figures a year would have to pay just to get to get bread.

These repukes fail to mention that. They all have the same talking points about 1937, WWII, and never mention the other years from 1933 to 1941. It's obvious they've all been given the same short list of talking points, and that's about all they know about The New Deal. Did they ever stop to think that WWII necessitated even more increases in government spending?
