I am perfectly capable of cheering as my president speaks to the country and to not be happy to hear |
|
that we will be in Iraq longer and deeper than we thought would be the case.
I am so pleased to see him on teevee in THE place of power and leadership. I think he's doing the right things for the country.
I am not pleased that the change in the Iraq timetable, which looks very bush-like, was sort of snuck into the news under the cover of this historic speech.
I am so proud to see the top three seats of power represented by a black man, a white man and a woman.
On balance, I am more proud and happy than not.
But this Iraq thing, after the Afghanistan thing last week or the week before ...... well ..... that makes me angry, to be honest.

1. I'm not quibbling about 3 months. Residual troops would remain, |
|
as he said during the primaries.

2. Well...I'm angry too...I would guess that the generals have convinced him |
|
to stay a little longer.
He has a mess of biblical proportions in those countrys....
I want us out now - probably more than most....
But I'll give hime the benefit of the doubt.
For his first year, rain or shine.
