Does your local paper cover local government well? |
I was just sitting around and thinking, and I realized my local paper doesn't really cover local government at all. They print the "agenda" in tiny little type, and that's about it.
What's it like where you live?

1. Washington Post does pretty well with local stuff, |
including separate editions for the different local jurisdictions.

2. Actually, they do quite well. |
Maybe this is because I live in a rural area where not much happens that is newsworthy. They cover the local and county government meetings and issues very thoroughly.

3. The local media here in Bryan-College Station Texas |
tend to cover any foibles in the city/county governments in the surrounding areas but shy away from any real in depth reporting of Bryan, College Station and the administration of Texas A & M. A few years ago the local TV station and paper were given a appreciation dinner and award by the cities and university. That should tell you how well they do their job.

5. No meaningful discussion, a focus on superficial things that don't matter |
Pretty much the same way they cover everything else
