GOOPer politicians can sit on their hands forever, as far as I'm concerned. We won. They lost. Buh-bye, now.

1. The GOOPers are master campaigners
Since Lee Atwater, and now with Rove, they have campaigning and character assassination down to an art form. They blow us out of the water with their methods.

What they prove time and time again is that they CANNOT GOVERN. They have a political philosophy that the government is the root of all problems, yet they draw a big paycheck working for the government they do not believe in. Hypocritical idiots.

3. How'd that work out for them in 2008, then?
If character assassination and prevarication work so well for them, something has changed, it seems.

Or, maybe it's just Barack Obama. Up against the stellar performances of McCain and Palin, he shone out like a 150 watt bulb in a room full of nightlights.

6. Their despicable methods were an art form in 1994, 2000, and 2004
I believe Barack killed them off in part because the GOP had nothing to stick to him, and with all their trying to do so (Palin, eta al), I would like to think that people finally paid attention to the fact that by supporting the GOP, the voters were hurting themselves.

Obama may have driven a stake in the heart of Rovian politics....I hope so.

4. I admire the way Obama quietly stepped aside
and let the GOP show themselves for what they are.

Masterful move, Mr. Prez.

5. Yup. And it's still working. The GOOPers are
sitting on their hands, refusing to help get us out of this financial and economic mess we're in. Many are actively obstructing things. America's watching, and will remember in 2010.

Oh, there will be idiot followers of this strategy, but their numbers will continue to decrease until they're only a pesky mosquito buzzing around.
