Obama gives much-needed pledge to U.S. veterans - and his Sharpies could also help
It was absolutely refreshing to hear President Obama go beyond the usual platitudes and promise to raise the pay of active duty troops and take better care of veterans. And it was great to see his confidence as he signed autographs on the way out of the House of Representatives chamber. Why not auction those Sharpies on eBay and give the proceeds to the Disabled American Veterans? The publicity around it would spur more donations, and the veterans who gave so much will get at least a little more in return. See:
