As Mickey Rourke mourns for Loki, his beloved Chihuahua who recently passed on at age 17, here’s a look at the dogs who are the little loves of his life.

Vocal about animal issues like spaying and neutering, Rourke rallied outside a Florida pet store to protest the alleged sale of sick puppies in 2007. “I truly believe God created dogs for a cause. They are the greatest companions a man could ever have,” he told the New York Post last year.

5. was thinking the same thing...
but the sentiment is what's important.

It's not like he's arguing like that crazy Ray Comfort guy that "the banana proves God's Creation because it's so perfect for humans." (The bananas we eat are perhaps the oldest domesticated fruit; wild bananas are inedible.) :P
