John Boehner says Americans are Welfare Queens
This man is a crater-sized asshole.

from TPM DC:

Boehner: GOP Policies Are Politically Harder, Dems Offer Free Lunch
By Eric Kleefeld - February 25, 2009, 4:30PM

The Wall St. Journal reports that John Boehner made an interesting observation about the Republican Party's problems: It's simply harder to sell their own ideas to the public, compared to the easy answers offered by the Democrats.

"We have a tougher job than our friends across the aisle. They've been offering Americans a free lunch for the last 80 years, rather successfully," Boehner said, at a lunch hosted by the Christian Science Monitor. "Those of us that believe in a smaller, more accountable government, we have a tougher time making our principles relevant to the American people. But it's our challenge, and we've got to do it."

A note about free lunches and small government: Boehner voted in 2003 for the Medicare drug bill, a mega-expensive expansion of entitlement spending with no method laid out on how to pay for it. And the modern GOP's platform is based largely on tax cuts, with the constant claim that they'll result in even more revenue.

1. He can start by voting 'no' to any request for "corporate welfare". Also call him by his real name:
"Boner". Like the doofus kid from "Growing Pains", that 80s s*itcom.

7. Gee, John, then why didn't you do the tough things when you were in control?
Instead, you all voted in lock-step with a crazed president and a barking mad vice-president who launched two invasions while cutting your taxes and the taxes of your overrich benefactors. So, instead of paying for your little military sprees, you guys just ran up the largest federal deficits ever seen.

Why weren't you disciplined when you were in power? You inherited federal budget surpluses and then turned them around to shovel the contents of the federal treasury into the pockets of your friends as fast as you could do it. Where was your tough in 2002? In 2003? In 2004? In 2005? In 2006?

Of course, it didn't matter after that.

8. As Obama seeks to find solutions to Americans' problems
the republicans are attacking disaster preparedness and science (pshhh, who cares if another Mt St Helens will erupt - it's not like it spewed ash just a few years ago - oh wait it did). Then again of course, this is the fucking faith based party.

Let them keep digging their grave. They are absolutely completely fucking worthless. The deficit exploded under their "leadership" for 8 years and now they all of a sudden care? Fuck them. Fuck them with a rusty metal pole that would give them fucking tetanus. Let them eat shit sandwiches and get E Coli.

Hmmm, I think I'm starting to sound a bit like Rahm Emanuel. HAHA

12. GOP: shooting blanks
Boehner and the rest are intellectually bankrupt. They're just throwing everything at the wall hoping something sticks. Funny how cynicism ultimately reveals itself.

15. Okay, the Boehner is a drunk with a fake tan
The state he (hic) claims to represent is in deep doo-doo and desperately needs the Stim to help, so he (in his non-stop drunken stupor) tells everyone to vote against it before they even see it. He slams the legislation on the table in a weepy condemnation of the bill.

He is corrupt, worthless, stupid, and a waste of space.

And that is on a good day. :grr:

16. Yeah, well when was the last time he had to work hard? Most days all he does is
powder his nose for the cameras and yammer on and on while wearing an expensive suit. When was they last time he had to rotate tires on a truck? Manage the care of three patients in ICU? Bathe an extreme-aged totally disabled woman with feces on her butt? Huh? Huh, Boehner?

19. Smaller and more accountable? LOL
Boehner's party expanded the size of government and passed out pallets laden with U.S. currency that ended up God knows where. Not only that, there was no accountability under his party's leadership. In 8 years, the federal budget and national debt soared to historical records. They repeat the lies so often, I think they begin believing their lies. Corporate America is the champion welfare whore in the history of the world. God help these people. They are living in denial.
