You Magnificent Bastards! - Who's your next great "fresh & exciting" leader after Jindal's collapse? |
|
Edited on Thu Feb-26-09 12:02 AM by Divine Discontent
(changed the title after seeing my fave line from Kramer to Newman!)
It's getting so bad, I'm thinking the GOP's going to have the Young Republicans president give their response next year!
Jindal's "performance" really has helped push forward President Obama and the Democratic Party's vision. This is a wonderful week in a very troubling time.
My big hope is that in '12 they push Palin as their candidate - it will be a cakewalk. She's loved immensely by their base (the oddballs that drive around with Palin stickers on their car where McCain was cut off the top!) and that isn't enough to get elected nationally, but just enough to get the Rethug nomination!

1. Out in Southern California, |
|
under cover of night, a bunch of Republicans are creeping up to the Reagan gravesite, equipped with potions and incantations promising to bring the dead back to life.
Beyond that, I have no idea who they might find.
Nancy Reagan?

|
starstruck by DUMB! So, yes, sounds very plausible. I'm smiling thinking about 8 years of Obama/Biden and a stronger Dem majority (esp. when Franken is seated, which is bullshit he's not, Norm is a freak for not backing down 114 days AFTER the election ended!)

to these "leaders." Pigs in shit love more pigs in shit.
I wouldn't be surprised if Coleman is getting some nice cash on the side for obstructing for this long. There is no way a sane, rational person would press on like this incessantly. Something shady is going on is what me thinks.

9 out of 10 Americans agreed that Folger's ground crystals is a much better alternative than the gop, the one hold out liked Vick's vapor rub.

23. the problem for them is their best chances are with those the party does not like |
|
McCain for example. he would have lost anyways last year but he had to pick someone that dragged the ticket down just to get his own party to like him.
Charlie Crist might another one. he might appeal to a wider audience but his own party may not support him or demand he pick some sarah palin type to get their vote.

25. ooh! there's the wildcard! and yes, the insiders of the GOP wouldn't want him, but he could get the |
|
nomination. He is likable. And the fundies are starting to hate on him (a Christian station my brother listens to had their morning DJ lady speak about wondering how Crist would sound telling the "gentleman start your engines" at the Daytona, and she made it sound very negative, like he's a woos or not-manly, all because he backed the stimulus obviously!), but you're right, he would certainly be a threat to the NUT-sector of the party - and they will therefore continue their attacks against him! ha
