Who is the woman anchoring on CNN now? |
|
Is she a known partisan, or is she taken as impartial? I'm talking about the redheaded anchor.
In the last 15 or 20 minutes, she's pulled out:
- The canard that tax cuts make everything better. Said TODAY. As if it were common knowledge! When gently challenged, she pressed, "Well can't you just look at the numbers? It's really not all that subjective." The male presenter showed her the out of control budget deficit due to massive tax cuts as a number right off the bat. Good guy. What the hell numbers are you talking about?
- Endless nitpicking about the health care plan. "Wealthy is such a subjective term." When talking about insuring the uninsured: "What if they don't want it?"
There was one other majorly partisan and clearly thoughtless utterance from her mouth, but I can't remember it at the moment. I hope this is not supposed to be one of their balanced anchors. I think I'll write in and complain anyway, about the tax cuts nonsense.

3. I totally caught that! |

The woman she was interviewing or discussing the health care issue --"what if they don't want it"
Gave it back to her something good. Did you hear me yell "Schooled!"?

She is usually fair (by MSM standards), but this morning she has been a RW shill.
She said she wasn't sure what the president meant my "If you drop out of school, you are not only giving up on yourself, your'e giving up on your country" WTF
I guess CNN saw the high rating for Obamas speech and have gone full force to smash him down.

I generally don't watch daytime CNN. I flipped it on this morning and was shocked to hear Heidi Collins characterize tax cuts as a universally recognized panacea for all economic problems.
This is a republican talking point, not "common knowledge". If Ms. Collins thinks it is common knowledge, she is probably more rightward leaning then she thinks. She is also out of touch with the country at large.
She also said it was "not all that subjective", and that a look at "the numbers" would reveal it to be true. What numbers? It is a highly subjective argument. I was just floored by the ignorance exhibited by her not just commenting, but by her INSISTING that she was right and that it was not debateable. That is something a partisan would do.
Aren't you guys supposed to be the middle-of-the-road, balanced network? Sure seems like you're chasing Fox lately. Or do MSNBC's grand total of TWO left-leaning programs give you license to dash off to the right in a misguided quest for the "middle"?
