Kellogg’s Suffering the Consequences of Phelps Dismissal

US (ChattahBox) – It looks like the dumping of Michael Phelps from the Kellogg’s sponsorship wasn’t the great PR move the company had hoped.

A new report released from Silicon Alley has shown that Kellogg’s has moved from the reputation of 9th in the country, to 83rd, making it clear that the pot smoker’s threats of a heavy boycott worked the way they said it would.

“Not even an industry-wide peanut scare inflicted as much damage on the food company’s reputation,” the report claimed.

It’s true. The massive salmonella outbreak, in which they were found to have been aware of potential contamination, took a back seat to the Phelps scandal, and it now seems that the company’s reputation could be damaged beyond all repair.

But the company fell to No. 68 after letting Mr. Phelps go...According to Vanno, Kellogg has since fallen to 83.

I don't know how valid Vanno's reputation tracking formula is, but it's at lest encouraging to see the company's rank go down rather than up."
