Thom Hartmann - I can't listen to these CPACers ...
Edited on Thu Feb-26-09 12:56 PM by Maat
my blood pressure is going up too much.

Those idiots (CPACers) are promoting this nonsensical 'tea party' idea; they are supposedly going to protest so much federal money being spent.

They don't protest spending, however, when it's on useless wars or military actions, or illegal covert operations, or on handouts to huge multinationals.

Sick.

Edited to add:
Thom Hartmann, one of my favorite progressive radio hosts, is broadcasting from the Conservative Political Action Conference, or whatever. I'll have to verifiy what CPAC means (besides a bunch of idiots)(Go to www.thomhartmann.com for more info.).

Edited on Thu Feb-26-09 12:54 PM by fascisthunter
every stance of theirs is bullshit. Just look at the massive debt they put this government of ours into... and who exactly did they intend on giving that bill to? Not their wealthy right wing constituents, that's for sure.

3. I've given up on Thom Hartmann for today.
He is driving me crazy with nothing but repukes and their talking points. I'm a regular listener except when he sets up shop at these repuke gatherings.

5. Yes, I guess the idea is that we should know what they're up to,
what they are saying; HOWEVER, I like to read a bit to get an idea, not suffer through hours of listening to that crapola.

It just gets me thinking about the propaganda that some of my idiot-acquaintances are swallowing.

That makes my head want to explode.

8. They say the same things over and over and over and over.
Thom has been debating these fools on his show for years, and it's boring to the point I just turn it off until he moves on.

9. I can't stand it when he goes to these repug fests either

I don't need to hear their talking points for three hours and
I think Thom doesn't do as well as he does when he's on his own show
and have right wing nuts on.

I think he is better in his own habitat where he has better resources at his disposal, such as
sound bites and historical tapes to back up his argument.

I got to turn it off.

16. I don't know.
I respect the big amount of effort he went to setting things up in D.C.; it's just that the whole exercise isn't helping me.

When he has them on for a few minutes on his regular show, I can take answering a few minutes; if I can't stand the idiot, I turn the radio off for fifteen minutes. Then, I can come back. Today, it's just one idiot after another, FAILING TO ADDRESS THE QUESTION HE OR SHE WAS ASKED.

Talking points, talking points, talking points ....

If that were one of mine with the disrecptful heavy signing, etc. I would smack his damned mouth.

I can try to overlook the idiocy as it is young.

34. And I'm not a big fan of smacking kids, but I did try to instill some
basic manners and a sense of respect for others (including adults), lol, in my boys. By 13 if one of mine hadn't gotten the lessons and had been doing that heavy sighing and raising his voice to an adult, it would've gotten ugly.

I'm just a 'big meanie' like that.

Although I did have one begging for me to spank him and just get it over with because the consequence I decided on for his behavior was gonna last longer.

20. My kid's college-age tutor is a conservative.
She's a great math tutor.

However, during lunch (we usually all eat lunch together), she kept going on and on about getting rid of social security; that's their latest meme.

I replied that anyone who wanted to get rid of social security wasn't pro-life.

their stupid talking points over and over!

At least some of the random nuts that call in to the progressive shows can be outright entertaining - did anyone catch that wacko that called in to Stephanie Miller this morning (second time this week)? When he mentioned his heroes were David Duke & George Lincoln Rockwell, I spewed water across the room!! :spray:

He doesn't like American women. Although, I do keep thinking, 'don't let him find out about the Aryan women, let him leave the country to find a woman.'

He almost gives me a head ache after a while just trying to keep up with his crazy twists and turns.
