Thom is great but some days all he has on are right wing asswipes with whom he argues. sometimes he does a good job sometimes he pulls his punches. If he'd would just shut these people up with a quick comeback it would be more enjoyable but then I guess they wouldn't come back on his show. But then who would really give a shit?

1. yeah, I don't get into liberal hosts who have conservatives on.
Franken used to do that, too. I don't get the point. If they are just trying to set up the guests, that's just mean, and doesn't prove anything. If they are trying to give equal time, I have no reason to listen--I hear enough conservative opinion without needing it on liberal shows.

I want to hear discussion and news and even debate on what liberals think and are doing. We don't all agree--if he wants argument, let's have it out between socialists and centrists, or NAFTA and anti-NAFTA. There's plenty to get into without acting like Republicans have something meaningful to contribute.

2. I kinda agree... when he lets them "hold the floor," I wonder if he simply assumes
they're making such definitive asses of themselves, he doesn't need to say anything... but I usually wish he'd comeback and nail 'em more on all their egregious untruths...
