They revealed the identity of a covert CIA agent.
Does anyone remember that? Are we going to pursue it further? I can imagine the news if Obama revealed the name of a CIA agent.

I started rummaging around Google and found a couple of tidbits.

Maybe this film will spark some interest-

From www.insidebayarea.com

Sean Penn is in talks to join the cast "Fair Game," a film based on the scandal that surrounding the outing of former CIA agent Valerie Plame. Variety says Penn would play Plame's husband, Ambassador James Wilson, who angered Bush administration officials by denouncing their attempts to show Saddam Hussein possessed weapons of mass destruction. Naomi Watts would play Plame.

Then there's some legislators who want to have this happen-

http://www.findingdulcinea.com/news/Americas/2009/feb/Congress-Considers-Journalist-Shield-Law.html

New legislation has been introduced in Congress that could protect journalists when they are asked to reveal confidential sources for federal investigations. Most states have “shield laws” similar to the proposed Free Flow of Information Act, but state shield laws offer protection to reporters only when it comes to local and state jurisdictions.

I guess I can't forget stuff like this. From Ivins and his anthrax that never happened, to Dr. Kelly who probably didn't commit suicide, to Valerie Plame, and on and on, I want justice.

That's my blabbing for the morning.

1. I hope Sean Penn does this movie!

It's about the only way to get more attention to this seemingly forgotten atrocity.

I read "Fair Game". It made my blood boil!

4. additionally..................
I think the number of people that Cheney indirectly murdered with this outing is actually CLASSIFIED!

But outright treason in the defense of liberty is no vice!

5. It's TREASON, plain and simple
A lot of people like to pretend they are morally superior to others in their high and mighty pronouncements of forgiveness for traitors but treason is treason, it's a threat to Americans lives.

6. Well, they got away with treason (or damned close to it) in Iran-Contra, so why shouldn't they get
away with it again?

IOKIYAR, remember.

7. I don't know all the details but the House version is a thinly veiled attack against the Internet.
"CMLP points out that the House bill includes a clause that essentially says a person must be engaged in news gathering for a “substantial portion of the person’s livelihood or for substantial financial gain and includes a supervisor, employer, parent, subsidiary, or affiliate of such covered person.” The Senate bill doesn’t include any stipulations for livelihood or financial gain. The House bill also doesn’t explain what “substantial” means. Under the House language, many bloggers and freelance writers may not be covered."

This paragraph doesn't give a damn about the American People's First Amendment Rights, national security or whistle-blowers against corruption, this only serves to further empower the existing corporate media structure over the American People's Representatives.

The same corporate media which outed one of our covert CIA Agents, endangering her life and that of her company, whose job from what I understand was to track weapons of mass destruction.

I hope they come out with the movie, but I believe his name was Joe Wilson.

9. Hey, thanks! I just walked in the door, and this is on the Greatest page.
I'm kind of embarrassed, since it was one of my off the cuff posts. Well it is a subject that I find highly irritating. Wouldn't we expect Limbaugh to be livid about something like this?

But I really didn't put more than two minutes of thought into the post. :)
