Citi down yet ANOTHER 38% today new 52-week low hit
Currently down 38% to $1.53 a share. I can now choose to buy 5 shares of Citi bank or one Subway sandwhich. I will take the sandwhich.

1. When the gov steps in and buys so much stake in an institution
That basically wipes out the shareholders. Same thing happened to AIG, Freddie, and Fannie.

The Citi stock is not going anywhere.

3. You are totally right it is just that
watching such a HUGE multi-national bank go to completely worthless status in such a short period of time is incredible. It's like watching the Titanic sink.
