3. This is my theory

For a long time now it's been accepted that if a president comes out publicly on a current case or future case involving complicated justice issues he will destroy the very point of justice by rendering an opinion before a verdict. As a constitutional lawyer, he knows this has to be handled by the appropriate people. Law enforcement, congress and ultimately building support for any action without tainting the outcome.
