Around page 4 of the comments that basically conservatives could take heart that liberals could be just as big online porn viewers as conservatives by the following situation: Since 8 of the 10 biggest online porn viewers are red states, we can also assume that they're also pretty low in the rankings of education attainment as most red states fit that bill as well. So it's possible that the people in the red states are just stupid enough to actually PAY to view online porn, and liberals are smart enough to realize that you can find plenty of it for free.

9. Avoid the Ecological Fallacy...

..so since porn purchases are higher in conservative areas ergo conservatives must be the subscribers. HOWEVER it could be the case that non-conservatives in the area are the true source of the extra porn spending since these highly conservative areas might make it difficult or impossible for anyone to gain access to sexual materials locally. Instead they seek out the home-accessible service in greater numbers than they would in a less sexually repressed area where the could visit local strip clubs or something like that. We can't really draw any conclusions about individual activity from aggregate statistics.
