Senate clears way to reverse polar bear rule

The Senate has cleared the way for the Obama administration to reverse a rule saying that greenhouse gases cannot be restricted in an effort to protect polar bears from global warming.

The rule was issued in the waning days of George W. Bush's presidency.

On Thursday, the Senate defeated a move by Alaska Republican Sen. Lisa Murkowski to require the new administration go through a lengthy process to reverse the Bush-era rules. The vote was 52 to 42.

1. Yet more proof that Republicans have zero empathy.

Republicanism is a sign of severe mental illness, possibly caused from a lack of affection received as a small child. I am more convinced of this than ever. These people need intensive therapy.

2. Republicanism is a philosophy that totally fails to realize that

existence is based on a vast array of interrelated elements. Why should they worry about the environment or any of the flora or fauna, they don't feel that such items are relevant to their own well being. That miscalculation alone may be the most totally fatal flaw of Republicanism.
