When I was younger, I used to play a lot of tournament baseball. Every time I had to register, my parents would bring along the original birth certificate to prove that I was age illegible to play on the team I was currently registering for.

The original birth certificate was starting to show it's age, so to preserve the original, my dad went down to the city hall where I was born to request a copy of the birth certificate. He was given one that looks similar to the one that is posted in your original rant, with no signatures or embossed marking. This is a perfectly legal and binding birth certificate.

A couple of weeks ago, I got into the same discussion with a RW nut myself. He brings up the "Not an America Citizen" BS, when I mentioned how my birth certificate looks similar to Obama's birth certificate. All he could muster was "... well, we will see..."

was one of Earl Long's (Huey's brother) campaign slogans when he was running for Governor. It was discovered that he was being treated for mental illness.

...where they were born. War brides who bear children overseas will prove this time and again. I had friends whose father, an American soldier, brought home a war bride from England. They had 6 kids. One, the oldest, was born in England. Not only is she an American citizen, she has dual citizenship cos she was born in England. She is a citizen of both since England allows that. Some countries don't allow dual citizenship and/or request you choose one or the other at a certain age like 21 or something. Others do not recognize you at all unless you spend your life in their country. But bottom line is, you are an American citizen if one of your parents is a citizen and you can prove it. Legal marriage of your parents is definite proof. If the father claims paternity outside of marriage, it is still legal proof. Barak Obama's parents were legally married. PERIOD.
