Oh my God, I love my brother and sister but they are republicans in denial
Edited on Thu Mar-12-09 05:48 AM by Mari333
this is the message I found that they wrote to each other via mail concerning the economy (on one of my pages where we talk back and forth) Its like 8 years of Bush NEVER HAPPENED. My my my. I am the oldest so they behave around me. well, gotta see some spiritual humour in this.

my brother:
'You would have to be pretty foolish to believe that the current economy is a result of one persons actions (ie the BUSH BLAMERS)-----as an economist and a banker I understand that our current economic condition is a result of congress teaming up with so called consumer advocate agencys like "ACORN"-(you know the group that faked election votes)-that forced lenders to provide loans secured and unsecured to high risk borrowers for over 3+ years--which created a large debt and surplus of foreclosures, rocking the very foundations of some of the worlds largest banks. That in a NUTSHELL-is what created this mess. And as Americans we have been here before and will grow out of this through free trade and enterprise.
It is the American spirit that will prevail.'

my sisters response:

'It started with their savior, Bill Clinton...he told Congress to let the banks loan to anyone for anything, build up the economy, etc ( all on credit and a fake dime, of course) and we are "reaping" what he sowed.'

on edit: wtf..ACORN?

on edit I sent them this:

2. If your brother is an economist and banker...
...he needs to get the money back he paid for his econ degree.

What a third rate analysis...

I have two sisters who are Republicans. I love them so much--but they drive me nuts with shit like you described.

The oldest sister tends to be condescending too  but we love 'em warts and all, don't we?

To add insult to injury , my one NOR MAL sister told me yestersday that sis recently got "saved" Kill me now!
