April 6th in Arlington Texas could be interesting.....

I'm not sure if this is the first but it's certainly one of the first public appearances for Bush since he left office. Last time he tried to throw out an opening pitch he was boo'ed pretty badly.

Any DU'ers in the area? maybe you want to buy a ticket and join the chorus. better yet, bring some pretzels and throw them on the field. maybe he'll choke on one. Or maybe bring some signs or whatever. It certainly would be nice if he gets boo'ed and the media picks up on it. The best part of this article is reading the word "former" before the words "president Bush."

Let this be a sign to FORMER president bush that for the rest of his life, eveywhere he goes, he's going to get booed. He will not be able to escape it and he'll have to lock himself up in a hole and never come out.

Bush to throw out first pitch

ARLINGTON, Texas -- Former President George W. Bush will throw out the ceremonial first pitch on Opening Day for the Texas Rangers.

Bush will become the third U.S. president to throw out the first pitch for a Rangers home opener when Texas plays the Cleveland Indians on April 6.

3. 10,000 shoes tossed into the infield would somehow seem appropriate

4. how about pretzles and shoes?
imagine thousands of people leaving the stadium after the game in bare feet because they tossed their shoes. i would gladly give up my own shoes.

10. I guess we need a kit
some shoes, pretzles, hand cuffs, maybe a nice jug of water for waterboarding.... we could sell them as kits to people on the way into the game. probably sell out in minutes.

5. Yeah! Shoe Night!
It could bring back memories of Disco Demolition Night with the White Sox... but of course, he used to be a part-owner of theirs, so I doubt they'd play along :(

7. Talk about spoiling a perfectly good baseball game
Opening Day, likely sold out, the Cleveland Indians in town, sounds ok to me. But then there is the little matter of the ceremonial first pitch. Why spoil a good day? Hope he gets booed big time and I hope ESPN covers the game, although since it isn't NY or Boston it's not likely.

12. I'm afraid he'll probably get an ovation
I won't be there, but I have friends here at work taking a "sick day" to go to the game. I love going out there, but the whole presentation around games at the ballpark is very, very right wing (I swear, if I hear "God Bless the USA" one more time there, I will fucking explode).

Yep, another losing season for the Rangers. Dubya's curse comes back to Arlington, LOL.
