Romney mentions Jeb as possible VP, Might Have It REVERSED!!!
Jeb Bush may be the stealth candidate in the Republican Party.

Candidates like Mitt Romney are mentioning his name as a possible VP, but Jeb may have his eyes on the top slot instead. It was reported some time ago that 41 and 43 were encouraging Jeb to run, (all the while 43 had promised McCain his campaign workers and fundraisers if McCain changed position and supported 43 and his war in Iraq).

With Florida moving up their Primary to several days before the Super Tuesday Primary date, Jeb may be positioned perfectly to grab Florida in the Repub Primary.

In that case, Iowa and New Hampshire would be inconsequential in terms of total electoral votes won at that point.

Having Jeb on the ticket as pres or vice president, they'd lose no matter what. I think the whole country is starting to get really tired of having these crooks in office. I don't even think the machines will save them this time.

12. Jeb has the political machine in place to 'insure' he wins the FL Primary...
Other candidates will face the twin obstacles: A very large state geographically, and a very expensive tv market in which to run ads.

Jeb has name recognition among FL Repubs, and all the money he could ever want from his contacts.

It is a nightmare scenario, but one that could happen. Remember the Bush Family has no shame.

15. GW's damage to the Bush name is fatal for Jeb's ambitions.
He MIGHT be able to sneak into a spot in 2016 at the soonest - and that will depend on what happens 2009 to 2016. Living here in Georgia, I know more righties than mods or lefties and I can say none of them wants any part of any more Bushes.

Edited on Thu Mar-29-07 09:38 PM by The Gunslinger
I hope I'm wrong. You gotta remember 35% the the public in America still think King George II is doing a great job. Jeb's got that vote locked down. The religious right will make sure he wins the nomination over a Mormon and Pro-choice Guliani. All the Republicans will vote for him if he wins nomination. The Republicans will also come out in droves (even ones that normally don't vote) to vote against Hilary or Obama. And you can always count on the voting machines to help him out too.

18. Prescott Bush and Burt Walker continue with their stranglehold on their American Colonies
It's amazing how Prescott Bush and Burt Walker have since the 1930's had their way with the United States of America. Of course, they had help along the way from their motivated friends such as Allen and John Dulles, the Saudi and Kuwaiti Dictators (AKA "Royal Families"), an assortment of torturous strongmen around the world, and saddest of all, working class Americans who worked as their hired guns within the halls of our government.

Nearly eighty years and counting. Jeb Bush on the 2008 national ticket? Count on it.

Prescott and Burt wouldn't have it any other way.

19. What is positively sickening is that Jeb is MORE criminal than
his brother was prior to being selected as emperor.

Randi Rhodes has gone over the nefarious nature of Jeb's dealings with folks down here in Florida.

Of course, the MSM will take a pass--

Compared to his brother's drunken/drug-addled antics...mere child's play compared to Jeb's criminal dealings with some not-so-nice people. (You know, the kind that feed you to the gators while your still alive ....)

Picking Jeb as his VP would ensure that Mitt suffered a fatal heart attack or be gunned down in the streets by someone whose brother was having dinner with Marvin that evening.

26. Make no mistake about it, Jeb Bush thinks he is bred to rule.
I fully expect him to try muscling his way into the VP slot for '08.

My thinking is that Jeb has a large problem in 2012 if Crist enters the stage for president. Crist's approval rating after 3 months in office already surpasses anything Jeb ever polled.

Jeb knows he needs to strike for the gold sooner rather than later, but his big bro is fouling up his ambitions, approaching meltdown, by the day.

So Jeb will try an end run to micromanage his way onto the 08 ticket as VP.

It will be a gamble, with news stories like this in yesterday's news:

St. Pete Times: Governor Crist leaves little doubt Jeb Bush reign has ended, March 28, 2007

Get yer ringside seat.
