Whenever I meet sincere, down to earth people, they usually turn out to be liberals.
The people that have hateful attitudes, and that are prone to violence, usually sport W stickers.
Just an observation.

I have found.
We are a silent majority. (liberals, I mean, in case that wasn't clear.)
This site has made me paranoid.

2. Even of they're not violent |
|
they are completely out of their fucking minds. They think President Obama is a fascist. This shows how confused they are.
Hey Republicans! Fascists, they are the ones that torture. You can always tell a fascist from the blood on their hands.

Bush, for eight years, was the very definition of "encroaching fascism." Torture, wiretaps, on-the-payroll "journalists," no-bid contracts, etc. But it took a black guy getting elected president to spark this corporate "grass-roots movement."

3. I'll make 2 exceptions to that -my dad and a doc I work with |
|
My dad-29 years in the military-simply a conservative-but recognized human rights.Asked me on his deathbed to continue to advocate for help for the millions of Iraq War refugees. A doc I work with-military reservist who has been to Iraq 6 times.Conservative who, when I told him of my long history of protesting the war and fighting for vet rights, told me"None of these people here have a card in the game. You keep speaking out-people will listen to you."

4. I disagree; I find the ratio more evenly balanced. I've known many |
|
non-"down-to-earth," hateful (supposed) liberals, & many salt-of-the-earth conservatives.

6. I'm talking about in the "real world" |
|
Online, we've got a ton of hateful, self-proclaimed "liberals." But in day-to-day life, I find that people who espouse liberal and progressive beliefs tend, generally, to be nicer people. I really do.

They're angry, but they're not really sure what they are angry about. It seems that they just want to be angry.
