1. Indeed
What does it all mean, who produced it and what's the call to action for the viewer?

3. I can't be bothered by this right now. I'm too busy down loading a bunch of music illegally.

4. I have a quarrel with one of the statistics
"The amount of new technical information is doubling every 2 years. For students starting a 4-year technical degree this means that... half of what they learn in their first year of study will be outdated by their third year of study."

Well it doesn't necessarily mean that at all. In their first year of study they would be learning fundamentals and most of those probably won't change. I concede that the rate of technical information obsolescence could be as high as they say but it doesn't follow directly from the first statistic.

5. Same reaction that I had.
But for a slightly different reason. The premise assumes what we are teaching our students is a set of facts - a very poor thing to be teaching these days. If what we are teaching our students is how to learn, the specific facts learned incidentally may be outdated, but the skills learned by a student who learns scientific inquiry will never be outdated.
