There is a gorgeous full moon out tonight.
The King Snake that hangs around these parts showed up again. Haven't seen it in a couple of years. The Bluebirds keep me entertained. The beans, peas, tomatoes, and others in my veggie garden look great. My cats are fat and happy. Obama is still President. The republican train wreck is still laying in the ditch. Time to drink a few beers.

1. No moon for moi. Thunderstorms
Peas got banged up from hail. That'll teach them to stick their stems outta the ground.

Want some nuts with da beer?

4. There is a shortage of nuts here in the south.
Fox News told the repukes Obama was going to confiscate them, so the shelves at the grocery store are empty.

6. Lucky for me I am in the north
but then, that is also why the peas are barely out of the ground.

We have all kinds of nuts here abouts. Some are even in cans.

26. Uh, I always thought that there were plenty of nuts in the South
And I don't mean the kind that show up on trees or in the goober patch.

2. Isn't it nice to only have to worry about mundane
things like bank failures? It's so great to have the *co gone.

3. Ah, the simple things .............
Tonight, it's cloudy here, so no moon showing.

BUT, everyone I love is safe and happy, I just fixed the best French fries I've ever tasted, my best pal and I have a great day planned for tomorrow, and after watching KO and Rachel, I still cannot believe how utterly flattened the GOPigs are.

And, yes, Barack Obama is President.

The pharmaceuticals are working beautifully here tonight...............

8. Was just gonna offer you a vodka tonic in that other thread
that was so rudely (but predictably) locked as I typed the offer. Been chugging straight tonic all week. Decided to go for the gusto this evening.

Heat & potato mash, it's happy hour.

12. Good, very good ..........
Tonic by itself isn't that rewarding, but a bit of the Clear Magic, and all things are manageable, yes?

It got locked? Sheeeesh.................

5. Another country boy, I see.
Moon's covered here too, not that such a minor detail would block my full-moon rituals, which at the moment involve a nice cognac.

13. Hell, I'm 61 and surviving on a little part-time business.
Social Security kicks in this Summer, so maybe I can make it. At least I have some decent food with a garden and a neighbor's fish pond.

14. Hey, that's a good base on which to stand
By the way, you're still young, cause you know what they say... 60 is the new 40, and THAT'S when life begins!

Now, see what you have to look forward to? I'm hopefully kidding, too.

who care to admire the beauty that surrounds them daily (and nightly)! :-)

I get to go home Sunday and have one then. :)

How do you handle that cold? My legs bother me when it gets below 60.

22. This thread gets the highest of all recommendations for providing joy in the reading.
Earlier this evening my Sweetie and I and her dad sat on the carport on this perfectly temperate evening and watched the deer creep up on the pan full of corn we set out for them.

Then, the old man went looking for the moon, and in his senior state of mind, lost track of where it should be. When I joined him and showed him the orange orb glowing just above the treetops he thanked me in a very deep and serious way for showing it to him.

We are moon lovers around here.

The spirituality of a forest lit by moonlight is intoxicating and indescribable.

Think I'll go outside and howl.

23. I went out a little earlier to see the moon
Scared off a small herd of deer grazing below the house. They woke up some of the birds who started twittering. Lightning bugs are out! :) So are the mosquitoes. :(

I may open a window so I can hear the barred owls share their gossip. They've been very talkative recently.

24. I was just walking in from my bonfire, and saw the moon on the horizon.
I've got flames shooting thirty feet into the air. I turn around, and there's this gorgeous moon. What fun.
