Gay porn not acceptable after-school work for Christian college students

According to the Press-Enterprise of Bloomsberg, PA, one John Gechter, a student at Grove City College of Grove City, PA (a Christian college), appeared in gay porn movies that were posted on the Internet. Gechter, 22, a Philadelphia resident, claims he performed in these movies to earn money to pay his tuition. The college declared his acting to be "exhibit(ing) behavior contrary to the values of the college" and suspended him for one year. Gechter is currently appealing his suspension.

There was no information on whether surfing the Internet for gay porn is contrary to the values of the college.

3. I wonder whether the student who went looking for porn and found Gechter

will also be disciplined. How about all those who viewed it after it was forwarded all over campus? Apparently, the GCC student handbook forbids any sexual conduct that violates historic Christian standards. Wouldn't searching for porn and forwarding it all over campus violate the standards described in the GCC handbook?

Less than 24 hours after a fellow student found the online images, they were emailed all over campus and sent to the college administration.

I feel sorry for his situation, but it sounds as if he cleared up his graduation so he gets his diploma, but just does not get to actually graduate with his class.

In a way, he did a public service by opening the eyes of some of his classmates. He is probably the first bisexual or gay man they have ever known. Too bad so many chose to harass him.

But I guess searching for porn and then viewing it when you receive it via email from a fellow hypocrite and then using it as reason to torment another student is okay at that college.
