Why are KARZAI and ALI ZARDARI going on Meet the Press?
Edited on Sat May-09-09 07:59 AM by annabanana
What are they trying to accomplish? How well do they understand American media? Who told them this was a good idea?

How badly will Gregory embarrass America?

1. I assume they are republicans.
Otherwise why would they be on the Sunday shows?

3. It's Called Dailing For Dollars
The one thing that brought them here...$$$$$$. All the interviews and other games are just PR so that when its announced that we're shoveling another billion or so at these losers it won't get skewered by the corporate media.

Since I don't watch Stretch or any of the Sunday food fights, I gladly will leave it to others to find the "nuggets" (if there are any) and post them out here.

5. Did they pick MTP because they know that Gregory
doesn't even have a rudimentary understanding of the conflicts?

(Honestly. if it isn't Primo Beltway Conventional Wisdom, he has no clue.)

6. Karzai
Karzai knows the political landscape here like the back of his hand. As a former board member of an international oil company why wouldn't he know his best customer well?

7. Why MTP?
Just to "catapult the propaganda"?

Or, as was explained during the Plame trial, is MTP the best place to "get our message out" (Cheney)
