They say you can't judge a book by its cover. Not so! If the author is a reichwing conservative, or apologist for conservatives, you pretty well know what to expect before you're halfway through the back cover blurb. Very low content of facts, very high content of lying crap is the usual standard. But just in case that's not deprecation enough, drag out the worst offenders into the public for some disinfecting sunlight!

PLEASE NOTE: Any and all works of which Bill O'Reilly or Ann Coulter is purpotedly the author are automatically granted Dishonorable Rogue's Gallery status. Please list only works you believe most people haven't had a chance to laught at yet!

My noms:

"Jimmy Carter, the Liberal Left, and World Chaos" by Mike Evans
(Carter was accused of accomplishing nothing, now everything's his fault!)

"New Deal or Raw Deal ?" by Burton Folsman Jr.
(What better way to outclass the Liberal Left than attacking a wheelchair-bound dead President from seven decades ago?)

"A Slobbering Love Affair" by Bernard Goldberg
(It's just SOOO unfair! Americans like this President! How can Repugs possibly deal with that?)

and my favorites, with an environmental slant:

"Eco-Freaks" by John Berlau
(Check out the cheap comic-book cover!)

"Red Hot Lies" by Christopher C. Horner
(Global Warming is all a hoax! The conspirators have SO MUCH to gain by lying!)

"Green Hell" by Steve Milloy
(Damn those tofu-ingesting, tie-dye wearing, sandaled beatnik environmentalists! Obsiously they only want one thing -- to CONTROL OUR LIVES!)

So segregate your keyboard from your beverage(s) and let the crap fly!

1. the recent cultural supremacists:
Edited on Sat May-16-09 06:27 PM by MisterP
Andrew Roberts's "A History of the English Speaking Peoples since 1900"

Max Boot and Victor Davis Hanson for reviving the militarism so popular with Tojo, Napoleon III, Than Shwe, and Friedrich von Bernhardi's "War is not merely a necessary element in the life of nations but an indispensable factor of culture, in which a truly civilized nation finds the highest expression of strength and vitality. . . . War gives a biologically just decision, since its decisions rest on the very nature of things. . . . It is not only a biological law, but a moral obligation, and, as such, an indispensable factor in civilization."

not a book, but Lynne Cheney's NEH doctrine that the "West" is the origin of all freedoms and knowledge, and was predestined for greatness by capitalism in the 15th century

oo, and smarm-meisters Stossel and Friedman (Penn & Teller too, once they learn how to master the pencil)

2. "Help! Mom! There Are Liberals Under My Bed!"
by Katharine DeBrecht, "This full-color illustrated book is a fun way for parents to teach young children the valuable lessons of conservatism. Written in simple text, readers can follow along with Tommy and Lou as they open a lemonade stand to earn money for a swing set. But when liberals start demanding that Tommy and Lou pay half their money in taxes, take down their picture of Jesus, and serve broccoli with every glass of lemonade, the young brothers experience the downside to living in Liberaland."
