Top speed on all electric: 115mph

Distance can travel with one charge: 300 miles.
(then automatically goes to gas powered.

Whatever happened to AMERICAN ingenuity?

I don't see them anywhere in the story you linked.

Also, the vehicle mentioned in the article, the e6, is a pure electric: http://www.byd2009.com/showroom.php?car=e6

50% capability in 10 minutes, though many other companies have made similar claims and not delivered. Maybe these guys can be the first.

And yes, I would much prefer if it were made in America, so I'm willing to wait for a similar vehicle to come off the assembly line here.
