http://player.play.it/player/player.html?v=4.5.23&id=95&onestat=knxThis is KNX 1070, the best radio station I am aware of, right now, as for covering earthquakes in Los Angeles. My heart goes out to all of you involved.

3. Usually it;'s a good sign |
|
as it means pressure is being released rather than continuing to build up on a particular fault.

4. Not necessarily true... |
|
...I used to think that, but I listened that one gal who I call the "Earthquake Lady," and she is not saying that.

9. Yeah, the Kate Lady.... |
|
...she is really, really informative. But some times she scares me!
I am expecting Arizona to have beach front property some day!

So it's like she's really really happy when the rest of us are freaked out! LOL!!
I love how these women are the leading scientists in this matter! Take that you creeps who say women aren't "good at science." Balderdash!

5. I used to hear that too, but i think it, with all due respect, it is a bit of a |

myth.
Let's hope not, of course.

6. Um, how close is this to you? |
|
:scared:
For those of you just joining us, LA Basin quakes aren't like those along a major fault like the San Andreas; rather, the whole basin looks like your car windshield after the next-door neighbor's bratty son shoots a BB at it. Thus, a quake like Whittier in the '80s can cause major damage in a localized area that's right on top of it, while the rest of town pretty much goes about its business.

Edit for typo

Surf city!
I'd rather be home during these... there's a lot of steel, concrete, and glass between me and terra firma!
