This is KNX 1070, the best radio station I am aware of, right now, as for covering earthquakes in Los Angeles.

My heart goes out to all of you involved.

1. Too many little ones, too close together....
...:scared:

It's like waiting for the other shoe to drop.

3. Usually it;'s a good sign
as it means pressure is being released rather than continuing to build up on a particular fault.

4. Not necessarily true...
...I used to think that, but I listened that one gal who I call the "Earthquake Lady," and she is not saying that.

:scared:

9. Yeah, the Kate Lady....
...she is really, really informative. But some times she scares me!

I am expecting Arizona to have beach front property some day!

12. She gets all excited!
So it's like she's really really happy when the rest of us are freaked out! LOL!!

I love how these women are the leading scientists in this matter! Take that you creeps who say women aren't "good at science." Balderdash!

5. I used to hear that too, but i think it, with all due respect, it is a bit of a
myth.

Let's hope not, of course.

6. Um, how close is this to you?
:scared:

For those of you just joining us, LA Basin quakes aren't like those along a major fault like the San Andreas; rather, the whole basin looks like your car windshield after the next-door neighbor's bratty son shoots a BB at it. Thus, a quake like Whittier in the '80s can cause major damage in a localized area that's right on top of it, while the rest of town pretty much goes about its business.

10. The epicenter is a bit away...like about 10 miles maybe. But the fault...

...runs through the area.

Edit for typo

8. I'm on the 39th floor of a 60+ story building on Wilshire Blvd.
Surf city!

I'd rather be home during these... there's a lot of steel, concrete, and glass between me and terra firma!
