Anyone Listening/Watching Washington Journal?
A call was just received by a man who identified himself as a Republican who is "active" in politics. He wanted to talk about the fair tax. The host asked him who his representative was, he had no clue. How can people have so little shame? If this is any example of the "active" Republican, we shouldn't have much to worry about.

2. I may be odd, but I seldom watch Washington Journal.
Seems like the wingers have calls all lined up. The host(s) never correct false "facts" or confront totally outrageous statements. CSPAN may have started the show for intelligent give and take but it seems to me the wingers took it over and use it as yet another talking points vehicle. The sad thing is that when something is said on there and not corrected it gets a stamp that says CSPAN agrees with the statement.

3. If You Can Ignore the Call....
Cspan often has both sides of the issue and when they do, the participants, as opposed to the hosts, correct the outrageous statements. The format seems to be to let the callers talk. The up side of that is we can say what we want. The down side, which you address, is that "facts" are not facts. If Cspan would have more guests and less open phone time, they would provide better programming. If they are determined to continue the present format, they should, at least, say something to the effect that the views of the callers are not the views of Cspan, three or four times during the open calls.
