A friend spoke to someone from TSA

OK this post is all hear-say, and I have not done any investigation to verify it or not. If someone cares to, I'd love to know if there is any truth to it.

Anyway, a close friend, I will call her Gertrude, recently met someone who claimed to work for TSA. Gertrude jokingly asked what becomes of the liquids that are discarded at airport security checkpoints. He replied that she did not want to know, which of course made it so that she HAD to know.

It turns out that the liquids are classified as "hazardous waste" and hauled away by a defense contractor.

Gertrude asked the name of the contractor. TSA guy said that he couldn't tell her the name but assured her that she had heard of them. Gert asked if the name might rhyme with "Malliburton", to which TSA guy replied that she didn't hear it from him.

It would figure that the entire liquid-bomb scare was just another excuse to throw another unnecessary but very lucrative boondoggle to "Malliburton" or to any contractor.
