Poll question: Why do you think the so-called enhanced interrogators did it? |

What kind of person would get a paycheck to do this?

itself out as an example for the rest of the world. They are setting an example.

In addition to those you posted, some did it as revenge for 9/11. Others did it as a result of frustration.

6. I do believe they were misguidely doing this in what they believed to be the interest of the country |
|
which is why President Obama said that we are not going to prosecute this any further.
Were they wrong? Perhaps. But things look different in 2009 than they looked in 2002.

And I would love truth hearings where these people could tell us why they did
something so wrong --- so wrong for our country -- so wrong for the safety of
our soldiers -- and so wrong for them which they may not realize yet.
Once you're raised the most brutal army America has ever raised, I think it's
a short step to this kind of mayhem and violence, not only torward innocent
civilians but against prisoners.
I think we're also seeing this in our prisons with the rise of the right --
and love of violence/punishment!
