(Catholic) Abuse victims march in Dublin to demand justice

http://www.reuters.com/article/worldNews/idUSTRE5593Q420090610

Survivors of rape and ritual beatings at Catholic-run schools marched silently to the Irish parliament on Wednesday, carrying children's shoes and wearing white ribbons symbolizing their lost youth.

Disclosures of floggings, slave labor and gang rape in Ireland's now defunct system of industrial and reform schools have shamed Irish people, particularly older ones who did not confront what a report last month described as endemic abuse.

"It was as if you were inside prison and when you come out you don't talk about it," said Marina Permaul, 66, who was brought up "military style" by nuns in the western county of Galway.

"You don't talk about it even to your children," said Permaul, who arrived from London to attend the march. "You're too ashamed of it all, and in any case would they believe you? You didn't dare speak out against a religious order."

Local news reports said about 7,000 people took part in the march, including hundreds of victims of abuse.

2. The stories from the report that came out a few weeks ago were shocking
Children were punished because they were molested by the clergy. And the Church covered it all up. Obviously, the chain of command was a chain of conspiring pederasts.

Meanwhile in Cleveland, the Church is issuing a story that they are closing the urban parishes because the parishioners have moved to the suburbs. Bullshit. They are closing the buildings because they cannot afford them because they have to use the laity's tithe to pay off rape lawsuits.

4. Italy can't "kick the Vatican out of their country."
The Vatican is a sovereign City-State. The Vatican isn't "in" Italy.
It is geographically surrounded by the City of Rome, but it isn't "in" Italy anymore than San Marino is in Italy, or Andorra is in France & Spain.

and yes, i'm aware that there are good priests and catholics in general out there, but they've allowed their religion to be overrun by these sick fucks and the turd buckets that cover up their heinous crimes.
