Maybe it's like the people who watch Colbert and believe he's conservative or the people who saw Fried Green Tomatoes and missed that it was a lesbian love story. Wild.

I saw FGT with my best friend, who had a sister she adored, a lesbian. When I said it's amazing this film about lesbians is so popular, she said, what lesbians?
She was "looking" at something else, it wasn't at all that she was insensitive or uncaring.

My daughter caught it before I did! I always get caught up in the scenery, the architecture, the furnishings, and the costumes... my daughter grew up backstage:) I have to work the business end of stuff before I can wrap my head around the script. Still, my daughter was very young at the time, and she totally got it. Blew me away:) I would have gotten there, eventually. LOL!
