On June 10th Norm Goldman filled in for Ed Schultz and took this heart wrenching call from a woman named Leslie about how her friend died from cancer because she got health insurance too late to save her. She leaves behind three children and an elderly mother she was taking care of. Norm was in tears and so was I. Here is the link. This reminds me of "there are a million stories in the big city and this is one of them" Old radio program. The time for stories and who has the saddest story is almost past and it's time we the people simply demand action and decent health care. If our tax dollars can be used to save the hide of crooks, they can be used to save us or give us our tax dollars back to take care of ourselves.
