A "poll"is nothing but a snapshot in time...
There is so much press about the new Wall Street Journal poll that shows more folks are concerned about deficits than about the state of the economy, that we have to believe that plays a part in the lack of acceptance of a new health-care plan. The Republican PR against "spending" is obviously working.

However, this is an opportunity that cannot be squandered. We have waited over sixty years - we do not have to be in a rush right now. If the Democrats are patient, and work to get all their ducks in line, the polls will change. When the right moment arrives, that is when they need to push thru their health-care plan, with a public option.

Of course, there would be opposition. What naive child would think otherwise? No one, expecially those with the wealth and power of the insurance companies, would surrender their power voluntarily. If we do not muster the courage to do something about health-care now, it will never be done. This is an opportunity that cannot be squandered. We must have the courage to pass it.
