I've started to watch the BBC broadcast every afternoon. |
|
No blaring obnoxious music and graphics, no crowing about how wonderful they are. It's just news done reasonably well.
It's just starting here on cable and one reason why I haven't dropped to a cheaper plan.

They speak calmly and listen to each other. I swear the guy on now sounds like Scott Simon from Weekend Edition.

7. BBC-America does have less "noise". However, |
|
it is not like BBC World Wide, which actually reports the news more accurately. When Rupert Murdock bought interest in BBC, the web news as well as TV went on a slide to the right and began sounding like our Corporate Media, IMHO. I was so surprised and dismayed. Still, I can understand your perception because they don't sound as if they are shouting and seem to be less concerned about "entertainment".
