There is a third vehicle in the Sanford story.
Edited on Wed Jun-24-09 12:02 PM by madaboutharry
There is/was a car parked NEXT TO the state vehicle that Sanford apparently drove to the airport and parked there.

TPM says this vehicle has been identified.

The first question at the news conference should be: Whose car was that, Gov.?

3. If that car is registered to a woman, this story will take off
into the stratosphere. It will take the National Inquirer exactly 2 minutes to find her.

4. Cars park next to mine at the airport too.
Can they link the person to the Governor is the question.

7. I think that seems to be the case.
From what is posted at Talking Points Memo, the indication is that they know who that car belongs to.

6. When I park at the airport, there are usually cars parked on BOTH sides of me....
does that mean that I'm in trouble?? And...even worse...it's possible that one or both of them may have been driven by WOMEN!

9. Should be easy to find out if they left at the same time
Just check the parking tickets. That still does not mean there was any wrongdoing, but if the owner can be linked to Sanford, it could be a problem, especially if it was a woman. I don't think he would be that stupid, but I did not think he would pull such a boner by going on a trip without telling anyone where he was, either.

10. I'm confused about the first 2 cars. No wait! What if . . . .
One is supposed to be a black SUV at the Columbia, SC airport. I think the other one is an SUV from the Security detail at the Atlanta airport.

Ooooh! I just flashed on what it might be -

He drives the first SUV to the airport to meet his traveling companion and leaves his car there as camoflage for his original story. BUT maybe a trusted security henchman brought the second car from the detail (somewhere in this twisted story in the timeline at TPM there is a brief mention that the security people know where he is) and he and the companion DRIVE that car to Atlanta where they catch their flight. That second vehicle would be waiting there for the drive back. The only stupid thing about this theory, is why not just take the "companion's" car? Assuming there is a companion. I think I would take the bet that he didn't just fly off by himself.

Heres the TPM timeline if you want to see it.

11. Rest assured freepers will claim Obama put it there
Obama is jealous of Sanford because he is tied for first with Palin as the nation's best governor.
