AARP Magazine: 8 Myths About Healthcare Reform
I don't know what the track record is for this magazine, but my mother showed me this article this afternoon. The writer debunks some of the ugly myths. It's a decent article, and my thought was that it was good that the audience is older folks who may not be well-informed.

http://www.aarpmagazine.org/health/8_myths_about_health_care_reform.html

Here are the myths debunked in the article...

Myth 1: "Health reform won't benefit people like me, who have insurance."
Myth 2: "The boomers will bankrupt Medicare."
Myth 3: "Reforming our health care system will cost us more."
Myth 4: "My access to quality health care will decline."
Myth 5: "I won't be able to visit my favorite doctor."
Myth 6: "The uninsured actually do have access to good care—in the emergency room."
Myth 7: "We can't afford to tackle this problem now."
Myth 8: "We'll end up with socialized medicine."

1. They've been fighting the good fight on health care
My dad volunteers with the Pennsylvania AARP, and they've been very involved in health care reform.

4. Older people are more informed about health insurance than
younger people. Or to take the stank out of it, people know more about health insurance when they are older than when they are younger. Sorry.
And older people also know that AARP is business that exists to sell.....health insurance! So bias is to be presumed.
