And I agree with them. Pork plus recession plus deficits = stupid.

2. As do I though I have voted for only one Republican who was a moderate local judge and a good guy
Other than that I have voted party line, though I like to vote for each individually.

And it's not like the project seems like a waste of money. Preserving our history is important. Sen. Nelson may have gone about funding this the wrong way, but it's not fair to put it in the same category as a bridge to nowhere.

If anything, starving a project like this during a recession is stupid. The whole point of the stimulus package was for the government to inject money into the economy via things that benefit the common good. This is certainly in that spirit.

Feingold and McCaskill are among our best Senators but this isn't really something they should be proud of.

4. I would like to see them take them off the table one by one and set a precedent
should anyone be proud of earmarks in a stimulus package?
