7. You're dreaming if you think burying him will put anything to rest
This soap opera is going to go on for years. It's been over 10 years and there are still all sorts of tin foil hat theories about the death of Princess Di. This is going to be worse by several orders of magnitude. Did he accidentally overdose in an attempt to void his contract for the 50 shows he didn't want to do? Did the concert producers off him in order to avoid paying him if he got "sick"?

And that's just the start. There will be child custody fights, financial battles, lawsuits over every aspect of his life. A whole generation of lawyers is going to be busy trying to glom onto whatever money is left.

And Neverland will wind up as an even more garish monument to American bad taste than Graceland.

It's already started. I saw some idiot on Olbermann tonight displaying a sawed off tree limb containing the image of Michael Jackson. Undoubtedly pilgrims are already racing to the scene. We love morbidity and death so much here, this is a made to order distraction to keep stupid people from realizing they don't have jobs, they have shitty health care )or none at all), and they are about to start living in a van down by the river.

Hmm, maybe the health insurance "industry" had Jackson whacked to keep the spotlight off them?:tinfoilhat:

12. The worst thing about this whole sorry mess....
Is Jackson will end up being worth much more dead (to many people), than alive. Jackson is going to make a lot of people very wealthy, especially his family. He was the family meal ticket in life, and will be the same in death.

17. I'm sorry to say, I think you're right...
This story has more characters than "War and Peace..." x(

They're even selling the facsimiles of the rejection notices to those who applied for tickets on eBay for $9.99...

And I think that the Michael Jackson story is a very poor recommendation for the health care industry. :-(

16. You're right. It's been two weeks! Unless he's cryogenically frozen...
Or they've hired the embalmers who look after Vladimir Lenin... x(

4. There will be a coffin with some mannequin in it that looks like
Michael Jackson that will be buried probably in the little cemetery in Westwood that Marilyn Monroe and Rudolph Valentino are buried in. Fans can go there and adore. His wasted body has already been cremated and the family will keep the ashes until the right time in the future when they can bury the ashes at Neverland. He wants that, I believe.

10. Michael is set to be buried at Forest Lawn Hollywood Hills
Whether it's him or a dummy, I have no idea, but that's where the Jackson family is holding the private funeral tomorrow.

11. That can be a good place too for the grave visiting.
I think his real body has been cremated though. There is too much baggage there.

5. We can only hope they bury him and close the
24/7 coverage, I lost all interest in MJ days ago. Isn't it time to move on to something important.
Faux isn't sidetracked with MJ they are staying right on message reporting right wing talking points.

8. I guess they can't bury him in Never land, I thought maybe they could cremate him and bury the ashes
there instead

19. OMG, TMZ says the body is going to be at Staples Center
tomorrow. I hope LA survives.

http://www.tmz.com/2009/07/07/michael-jacksons-grand-farewell/4#comments

Michael Jackson will create even more pandemonium in death than he did in life -- his body will take center stage at Tuesday's public memorial at the Staples Center in downtown L.A.

The family will hold a private memorial early in the morning at Forest Lawn -- where the body is now. The coffin will then be transported to Staples for what promises to be one of the biggest spectacles in L.A. history.

21. At first I was disgusted by all this. Now I've decided to go with the flow
and enjoy the sideshow tomorrow. I'm sure something incredibly tacky and grotesque will happen. Maybe some of the nutjob fans will commit mass suicide in solidarity.
